Jack Ramsay, also known as Skybreak, is a New Jersey, US-based bass music producer. Skybreak creates future dubstep, colour bass and house. Ramsay uses He/Him or They/Them pronouns.

Miago Trod is a giant resonating lamellaphone created by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin. It stands over five feet tall, with 22 threaded rods of varying lengths in two rows. The rods are tuned chromatically and played percussively. Part of the special character of this experimental device is found in the relative tuning of the upper and lower segments. They are long enough that the fundamentals are subsonic, and the tone is of various overtones. The range of rod lengths was chosen so that in the upper, shorter segments, one overtone is strong enough to stand out as the defining pitch, while other overtones contribute to a coherent blend. Meanwhile, the longer lower segment has similar sets of overtone relationships with a predominant pitch an octave below the upper segment. When either the upper or lower segment is struck, the two parts interact to further enrich the tone.

Fresh from the Souq Records lab comes our latest sample pack, assembled from driving electronica beats, haunting melodies and the usual enchantment of Middle-Eastern instrumental palettes. More up-tempo than our previous packs, Levant Samples is a hearty fusion of sounds aiming to captivate body and soul. Levant Samples offers a pristinely-mastered journey, with ten stems suiting producers of deep house, progressive, electronica, organica, and afro genres. With BPMs ranging from 103 to 121, the collection is adapted to fit different tempos and moods. It features 260 loops total, broken down into 70 percussion ones and 190 instrumental/vocal ones.

Souq Records embraces sounds from all around the world, playing our part in diffusing their beauty beyond borders. FinalPlug combines a lookahead peak limiter with ITU BS.1770 loudness metering. FinalPlug can be used as an insert effect, providing limiting for gain staging or volume maximization, or can be placed at the end of your mastering chain to guarantee your audio meets loudness and true peak delivery requirements.

The FinalPlug interface could hardly be simpler. When used as a loudness maximizer, select a desired output ceiling level, say -0.1 dB, and then adjust the threshold level. As you decrease the threshold you increase the volume.

To meet loudness and true peak delivery standards, select the "Analyze" preset and then select a delivery target specification. This sets up the integrated loudness and true peak target levels. Then play your session. The integrated loudness and true peak levels are displayed as the music plays, and will be colored orange if they exceed the target levels. At the end of playback, click MATCH. This sets the limiter parameters to meet the target specification.
