Ace Tone was started by Ikutaro Kakehashi who went on to found the Roland Corporation. To meet the market's desire for an automatic rhythm machine, Kakehashi began to develop a circuit named a diode matrix. This produced rows of pulses that would determine the sound-making position of each instrument. Bunker 8 has paintstakingly sampled each and every sound in pristine 24 bit high fidelity with included processed variants of each tone.
