Evil Drums was recorded in two of LA’s greatest rock drum rooms direct to analog tape, using Studer tape recorders. Joe used the studios’ classic Neve consoles and his own esoteric collection of (secret) outboard gear to sculpt his sounds. To accomodate the way Joe records and to keep things phase accurate, the BFD drums are set up as follows: Kick In and Kick Out were recorded as a mono track and multed to both tracks.Cymbals 1 & 2 are the same as the Overheads right and left respectively as viewed from audience perspective (please see the panning notes on page 10).
PZM (Mono Room) is a single mic multed to both tracks. No mics were killed or injured during the recording of this expansion pack
This is an updated library from inMusic Brands. The installer is original, with the exception of changing the serial number in one of the files to bypass the library activation later
Install the library
Run BFD3, go to the tab Tools - Set up content locations
Press the button Search Folder and specify the folder with the installed library Platinum Samples - Jim Scott Rock Drums Vol. 1

Evil Joe Barresi is famous for producing and engineering many of today's greatest modern rock bands such as Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bad Religion, Weezer, Pennywise and Clutch. This BFD compatible features the Pork Pie Glamouflage drumkit from the critically acclaimed Evil Drums expansion pack. Tracked by Joe on a Neve 8028 console to analog 2" tape at the legendary Sound City Studios, the drums have been taken to the next level - fully mix processed, without losing any velocity layers or resolution, Joe has EQ'd, compressed and performed his magic using the same console and equipment he uses when mixing. In addition, in a moment of evil genius, Joe patched the Kick and Snare though his classic Helios console - both through the Line Inputs to give them added warmth, and through the Mic Inputs to give a modern distorted option, offering a total of three wicked options for the Kick and Snare.

A great drum room! A classic Neve console! 86 drums to choose from... and a legendary rock engineer!
Rather than use preassembled drum kits, Andy chose his favorite pieces to create different drum kits for his expansion pack. Each kit was meticulously tuned by Andy himself to create the most kick ass drum library available. 65 Gigs never sounded so good!
Recorded at Sound City Studios through the Neve 8028 console, Classic Drums contains samples recorded in the big tracking room as well as in the echo chamber.
