Mutant Drums Vol.1 is a collection of 247 original drum samples consisting of loops/breaks and one shots. The key ingredient and goal when creating this kit was experimentation. Drum breaks with more edge. One shots with more character. Gear such as a 1970's reel to reel tape machine, an old multitrack cassette deck and vintage outboard equipment for saturation and boost of sonic presence. Capturing natural ambiences in a Banyan tree cave while recording percussion loops was a highlight of the process. Layering natural textures, vocal chants, and other abnormal elements to help spark ideas. Giving drums their own world to live in is what we strive for with every kit.
