This sample pack includes a range of original pieces composed and performed by Scottish multi-instrumentalist Hannah Read. The feature is Celtic fiddle, both in the Scottish and Irish styles. There are rich, atmospheric soundscapes and slow airs alongside lively jigs and reels. Some of the loops contain vocal melodies and pads from Hannah as well as percussion and bass added by producer Charles Van Kirk. The pack was recorded using Coles, Neumann and DPA microphones into AEA and Miktek preamps.
Hannah Read was born and raised in Scotland. She is an award winning multi-instrumentalist specializing in fiddle and vocals. Hannah has performed at the Cambridge Folk Festival and the London Jazz Festival, among many other prestigious venues on both sides of the Atlantic. As part of the folk supergroup Songs of Separation, she won Album of The Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Charles Van Kirk is a Maine based producer and frequent collaborator with Splice.

This pack boasts a massive collection of hi quality samples performed by the insanely talented multi-instrumentalist Evan Fraser. These samples were recorded thru the highest quality analog equipment at Grammy Award winning John Baffa’s "TV Tray Studios”. Equipment used include Royer R-122 Ribbon microphones running thru API 512c Preamps & 550b API EQ, & a one of a kind U67 clone Tube Condenser mic thru an Avalon VT-737sp PreAmp.
All samples were recorded, mixed & selected by the prolific DJ/Producer Chris "AHEE” Adams.

Picker is a musician based in Nashville who tours with multiple Grammy Award Winners: Ricky Skaggs, Sarah Jarosz and Mark O'Connor. This collection also reflects Jeff’s background in Jazz, making for a variety of grooves, progressions and melodic phrases that lend themselves to multi-genre productions. Nylon String Guitar is a collection performed by Mike Bono and mixed by Charles Van Kirk. This nylon guitar pack showcases Mike's versatility on the instrument, featuring loops inspired by bossa nova, classic film scores and jazz. There are two different versions of processing for each sound: one that is full spectrum high fidelity and one "lo-fi" version, which embraces a vintage flavor often evoked by the nylon string guitar.
