Orange Tree Samples Evolution Baritone Electric KONTAKT

The sound of a baritone guitar isn't something you can get by simply tuning a standard guitar down a perfect fourth. The lower tension on the strings ends up sounding thin and lacking in sustain, not to mention introducing problematic tuning drift where notes start sharp and go flat as they decay. Baritone guitars solve this with a longer scale length, which not only addresses the tuning issue but also provides a heartier sustain and fuller tone.
In addition to having this extra long scale length, the guitar we recorded for Evolution Baritone Electric was equipped with lipstick pickups, a unique type of single-coil pickup known for their articulate, glassy tone. Their naturally scooped mid frequencies make lipstick pickups an ideal pairing for baritone guitars, alleviating muddiness while providing a pure bass response and crisp highs. We recorded the bridge and neck pickups as separate signals which can be blended together for a wide range of tones: anything from the classic twang of the bridge pickup to the warm, woody sound of the neck pickup.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah's most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the baritone guitar. Evolution Baritone Electric includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal that can be blended to your taste.
Evolution Baritone Electric is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: a flexible mapping system, chords and strumming patterns, and a comprehensive collection of built-in effects for mix-ready baritone guitar tones.
The library includes many ready-to-use factory presets for a variety of classic and modern baritone guitar tones, from the classic combination of tremolo and splashy spring reverb to dreamy, ambient soundscapes. Not to mention the legendary Nashville tic-tac sound, the layering of an upright bass with a palm muted baritone guitar (or Bass VI).

- Built-in effects collection for production-ready baritone guitar tones.
- Pattern editor and chord voicing system for authentic strumming and picking patterns.
- Adjustable pick position using our proprietary physical modeling technology.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Vintage Violin Bass KONTAKT

Who knew that a short scale, violin-shaped electric bass would become the foundational bass tone for a majority of the Beatles' catalog? With its snappy attack and mellow sustain, this little bass delivers all the low frequency content you need for the backbone of your music as well as the rich-sounding sustain necessary for melodic, memorable bass lines. Speaking of melodic, there's also a slight "bloom" to its sustain, probably due to its hollow construction rather than having a solid body like most electric basses. Even though it's unquestionably an electric bass, this characteristic lends a subtle acoustic-like quality to the shape of the notes.
Orange Tree Samples Evolution Django Jazz KONTAKT

Evolution Django Jazz recreates the sound of virtuoso guitarist Django Reinhardt, pioneer of the Romani jazz style that emerged in Paris in the 1930s. The working musicians at the time didn't realize that they were purveying more than just jazz. In fact, the resulting style of music would eventually become recognized as its own subgenre due to its unique qualities. One of these distinctives was Django's iconic guitar tone and agile, expressive playing, which are practically synonymous with the musical style.
The guitar we recorded for the sample library is a meticulous recreation of Django's own Selmer 503 acoustic guitar. Constructed by a master luthier, the replica was built to the exact specifications of the original and includes details such as the zero fret, omitted bottom brace, and other intricacies of Django's guitar that contribute to his unique tone.
Orange Tree Samples Evolution Vintage Gent KONTAKT

Evolution Vintage Gent features an exquisite mid '60s hollowbody electric guitar. One of the iconic sounds from the British Invasion, the model of guitar we sampled was originally produced a decade earlier as a collaboration between Gretsch and Chet Atkins--legendary guitarist, record producer, and pioneer of the Nashville Sound.
This guitar represents the golden age of rock and roll, country, and rockabilly. It was a time period when guitarists started turning their volume up, and considerations had to be made to reduce feedback, while retaining the extra body to the tone that a hollowbody construction provides compared to a solidbody guitar.
Orange Tree Samples Dry Relic KONTAKT

Many acoustic guitar sample libraries focus on providing a clean, balanced tone: plenty of body, and a crisp high end. These qualities are all great if you need a sound that blends in the mix, but sometimes you need a guitar that brings its own personality to the table.
Presenting Evolution Dry Relic. Recorded using an early ‘50s Gibson J-45, this is a guitar that’s seen a lot of history, and has plenty more stories to tell. There’s nothing like the sound of aged wood that’s been soaking in more character with the passing of every season. Paired with a set of well-worn strings, the guitar has a gorgeous, thunky low end with a spark of life in the highs. The library is just what you need to give your song a boost in personality.
