Hot Damn...That was Fun making these Patches
I must admit, i was like a Kid at Christmas when I was waiting for my OB-X8 to arrive. I've never had an Oberheim before or even touched one, so was full of excitement and anticipation for when it came!
Like many of us, it's the sound of the early 80's and while the Prophet 5 has that title too, for me the OB's big and bold sound is THE 80's to me. Not just for those Classic Bands such as Rush, Prince and so on, but for me, it was in a lot of early Electro!
I've made 128 Patches with many Classic Sounds, however the focus has been on new Sounds, from Evolving Pads & Strings, to Cutting Bass & Lead, Huge PolySynth's and Bells, to Arp's & FX, plus much more. Support for all 6 Banks added.
Now, of course there are no FX built in and I know some say it doesn't need it, however I have also made 128 FX Presets, which I also made for the Prophet 5, so you'll be able to reproduce exactly how they sound in the Videos.

When I started making Vol 2, it seemed like the very first few Patches I made were all using both layers to create something...More. So I decided to make sure that all 99 Patches used both layers to maximize the Power and Character of the Prophet 12.
99 Patches later...And I'm not disappointed, as they've turned out to be some of the best Sounds I've ever made. From Warm Pads with Overtones and Textures, to Cutting Leads and Solid Bass, from Poly Synths with a Rich variation of tone to Electric Piano's that shine.
Of course, as most of the Sounds are using both Layers in 'Stack' mode, this will reduce the Polyphony down, however you can always turn the Stack or Split off and use each layer separately.

I'll be honest, I was going to skip the Prophet 12...Not because i'd tried it and not liked it or of the cost...The reason was, I was a bit of an Analogue purist and that...was wrong!
I've been blown away by the Prophet 12 and now think that every Synth should have 4 Oscillators/Voice and a 'Character' Section!
The FM capabilities really help with changing the timbre, as does the wave shaping...all this, before you've even touched the Filter.

GeoSynths Singularity Vol.1 for Moog One Synth Presets

I have to say, the Moog ONE is the finest PolySynth I've ever owned and used. The flexibility for Sound Design is unsurpassed by any other Analogue Synth out there, both past and present.
Having 2 different Filter types that can be blended and modulated over time is amazing. The textures it can make are just beautiful and it's been an absolute pleasure designing this set.
I've made 128 Patches that have Cutting Leads, Atmospheric Pads, Huge Bass and lots of Poly Sounds. All Patches have Modulation Wheel, Aftertouch and X/Y Pad assignments, for full control of the sound over time.

GEOSynths is back with the fantastic Moog ONE...the ultimate Analog PolySynth. All patches are made from scratch use One...Two...Or even all 3 Layers to create a Single Patch.
Of course, the Controllers such as the Modulation Wheel, X/Y Pad and Aftertouch are programmed to either change the sound subtly...or makes changes to the Patch until it is unrecognizable...all under your fingertips!
