Cavaricci Records proudly presents "Prophet '08 Outrun", an essential collection of sound patches for Dave Smith Instruments Prophet '08 hardware synthesizer. By purchasing you'll get 100% royalty free pre-programmed sounds elevating your production to a whole new level.
Programmed by label co-owner and true synthesizer pioneer Jarkko Ripsomaa - both producer and perpetual retro lover with over a decade of experience in both production and knob twisting. Prophet '08 Outrun comes with professional bread and butter patches covering the basis of Synthwave and Outrun genres - total of 64 high quality patches including mellow pads, lush synth licks, as well as smooth basses and crystal clear plucks.
Sounds are presented in .syx format bank and as individual patches inside separate folder. The data is in a MIDI System Exclusive (SysEx) file that can be loaded into the Prophet '08 via MIDI using a MIDI utility or other application capable of opening and transmitting SysEx files.
Please Note: All the sounds in the main demo apart from drums and additional FX are from this bank, no other samples were used. EQ, compression, delay and reverb were applied to the main demo. The drums featured in the main demo are taken from "Cavaricci Records - Retrowave", songstarter library also available for purchase. Preset demo was recorded with only added delay/reverb.

Greetings synthusiasts and welcome to our 3rd release for the Sequential Prophet Rev2. Volume III contains 90 synthesizer presets and includes a little bit of everything...Pads, Arpeggios, Poly Synths and Plucks just to name a few. Nearly all of the single layer patches in this collection also include a layer B. Simply hit the "Stack A+B" button so it lights up to turn on layer B. This will enhance the layer A patch and make it a little bigger by adding a slightly modified version of layer A in most cases. Remember, this will cut the available voices/polyphony in half. The demos for the single layer sounds in the videos below do not demonstrate layer B. So be sure to check each single layer patch with the Stack A+B button turned on. These patches have extensive modulation assignments and make full use of the modwheel, pitchbend, velocity and aftertouch controllers for a very expressive experience. The Volume III patches are arranged and loaded into the Rev2 according to category. 1. Pads and Strings, 2. Choirs, 3. Arpeggios, 4. Keys, 5. Plucks, 6. Poly Synths, 7. Leads, 8. Bass, 9. Brass, 10. The Prophet 12 is the current flagship of the Dave Smith Instruments range, and Dave has said himself that it is his finest ever synthesizer. Rory here at Boxed Ear was the proud owner of the first Prophet 12 to arrive in the UK, did work on the factory sounds, and also wrote an extensive review of the Prophet 12. He has been working on a bank of sounds for us ever since and finally it's here.
This bank focusses on sounds that poly synths do well. You'll find luscious pads, classic lead sounds, wavetable plucks, vintage stacks, evolving soundscapes and complex arpeggios.
