Each of Extinction's 86 patches has been designed completely from scratch. As a result, you can choose between 44 pads and textures, 12 leads, 12 basses, 11 arpeggiator sounds next to a selection of drum and SFX sounds. As always, we dug deep into the synth engine and made heavy use of Peak's outstanding oscillators and modulation matrix, including features like envelope repeat and FM.

Novation Peak Extinction Sound Pack also includes 8 new Wavetables

In 2020, Novation added a fantastic feature to Peak's already impressive sound engine. With the release of firmware version 1.3 you were now able to create and transfer your own wavetables. As sound designers we obviously had to include that feature into this preset collection. Thus adding to the 86 patches, this sound pack also features eight user wavetables that were created exclusively for this patch bank.

This Preset Collection for Peak offers you a complete Bank loaded with 127 authentic Sounds for Genres like Ambient, Electronica and Scoring. Choose between organic Leads, shimmering Drones, complex Textures and deep Pads for your Music Production.

Combining digital and analog synthesis with a flexible Modulation Matrix, Novation Peak is full of possibilities for Sound Creation. Our Ambient Collection takes full advantage of both worlds with intelligent use of Velocity, Aftertouch and the Animate-Buttons for creative Performances on stage.

Star Drive is a 64 preset bank for the Novation Peak. The Peak is a true hybrid synth, it's wavetables allow for crystal clear and otherworldly wavetable sounds, while the analog filters and distortion are the real deal for dirt and aggression.

The sounds make use of this huge variation on the Peak. The pads for example range from cold digital ice worlds to vintage ensemble pads, and JP8000 like supersaws.

Basses on tap range from focused and punchy PWM to walls of unison. Leads are melodic techno and trance inspired and there's odd sounds too making use of random per-step modulation.

Spectral Trip is a sound set for the hardware synth Novation Peak (V 1.2 or later). The presets are showing the tonal flexibility of this synthesizer musically. There are striking digital sounds and innovative analog sound colours. All 64 sounds are carefully designed and take advantage of the complete synthesis engine with an extensive use of the wavetables of the Novation Peak.

This set is also a good starting point for creating your own powerful pads and hybrid sounds.
