This course will guide you through melodic moves involving triad chord tones for the I and IV chords of a I IV V progression in the key of E. The principles presented in this course will provide a foundation for both chord melody and soloing.

This course will demonstrate the application of the condensed add9 arpeggio (1,2,3,5) over a I IV V progression in the key of E. You will be presented with 24 permutations of the four chord tones. These permutations will be organized on the fretboard in a note-per-string system. This will provide many options in terms of technical options as well as overring options.

This course will demonstrate the application of various melodic options for soloing over a I IV V progression in the key of E. These options will include arpeggios, modified arpeggios, pentatonic scales, modified pentatonic scales, and modes.
