Hello URM members-
For any of you guys who aren't familiar with me, I've been a producer, mixer and engineer for over 15 years and I've worked with artists including Sleeping With Sirens, Dance Gavin Dance, Issues, Alesana, and Crown The Empire.
As a drummer myself, I'm especially passionate about the role of drums in a mix and I'd like to think I have some techniques that you haven't seen before that will help you finesse a lot of the details that even experienced mixers often struggle with.
To me, the key is to strike that elusive balance of polished and modern yet still natural, real and human – and that's what this Fast Track is all about. And I should note that although I work with a lot of analog outboard gear the concepts will translate to plugins, so don't feel like this is off limits if you are working primarily (or exclusively) in the box.
