You'll learn how to load samples, presets, and multi instruments, work with different LFO shapes as modulatory sources, use various filters to help shape the sound, and much more. Eli starts off by providing a brief overview of what he'll be covering in the course as well as demonstrating how to load the presets, multi instruments, and a track preset. Then he gives you a tour of the interface and provides some alternative methods of loading presets. After that, the fun begins, and you'll discover how to work with various LFO shapes, which you can assign by way of the modulation matrix to different destinations.
Next, explore the multimode filter and learn how to create timbral variations using different filter types and slopes. Then check out Envelope 2, the filter envelope, and see how it can be used to further shape the sound within the time scale of each note. This is followed by a look at the amp envelope, where you'll discover how to affect the ADSR (attack, decay, sustain, and release) parameters to control the note's velocity curve.
Other topics covered include sample playback and global parameters (influencing how the samples are played), modulation routings (how one modulation source parameter affects another parameter, for example), effects (including the Gater module), key switches (for triggering sound variations within the instruments), and more. The course closes out with four sound design demonstrations so you can hear it at work: rhythmic pad, percussive synth bass, kustom keys, and expressive lead.
