Reason RE Static Cling Tome v1.1.0 WiN
Tome is a unique rack extension with an interactive display that allows you to quickly visualize how to play scales, melodies, and more on keyboard and most string instruments. With it, you can put away the theory books, stop googling scales, and move beyond memorization to focus on what really matters: making great music.

The perfect productivity tool for keyboard and string players of all skill levels.

Tome also works nicely alongside our other Rack Extension, Index and can be purchased together in the Tome & Index Bundle at a discount.

When Tome receives MIDI input it overlays an intuitive display on top of the current Scale Visualization. MIDI notes that are in the current scale are shown in yellow, while input that is out of scale is shown in red.

This feature has a variety of useful applications for learning, transposing, and exploring musical phrases.

All of Tome's features work identically whether visualizing a keyboard or a string instrument. Multiple adjacent Tomes offers an insightful look at how different instruments transpose and correlate to one another.

- Piano
- Guitar
- Bass Guitar/Double Bass
- Banjo
- Violin/Mandolin
- Viola
- Cello
- Ukulele
- Custom*

Custom String Presets
Tome supports creating custom string instrument presets with up 6 strings, for those who want to visualize scales and MIDI in non-standard tunings or for instruments not in the preset list. Scale and MIDI visualization will be calculated on the fly and shown accurately for any string tuning you can think of.

Synergy with Reason 9
Tome synergizes nicely with some of the major new features in Reason 9:
-Audio to MIDI: By combining this powerful feature and Tome, any melody can be learned and mastered. Got a great riff you want to learn to play? Hum/Sing/Sample it and run that MIDI through Tome to see how its played on your instrument of choice. With Tome you can finally learn to player all those great sounding tunes you have floating in your head.

-Players: These devices can generate an unfathomably wide range of MIDI sequences. By visualizing the MIDI from players you can understand the theory and fingerings behind any combination of players, regardless of complexity.

Instascale is a newly invented, scale oriented instrument with only 16 keys to play with. But wait, is that enough? Turns out it's more than enough. Unlike the standard keyboard instruments where each key can only play a single note, Instascale has a set of smart keys, each one capable of playing different notes. The new note will be based on the given scale, last note's position and the action of the key assigned to it.

Instascale is available as a MIDI processor plugin that can be used in any DAW that supports VST instrument plugins (with MIDI routing) or AU MIDI effect plugins, given you the freedom to play any instrument you choose without any limitations regarding the sound and hardware.
