Other Desert Cities, named after a famous sign on the I-10 highway leaving Los Angeles, is a workshop for creativity. As its namesake implies, there are many strange and wonderful things lurking inside. With six algorithms, each with its own unique personality, and extensive modulation capabilities, Other Desert Cities can fill multiple niches, from basic stereo dual delays to never-before-heard granular pitch-shifting chaos.

ALGORITHMS

Moving outside of the snapin eco-system, all other Kilohearts' plugins still support the modular workflow in one way or another (except kHs ONE). That's why kiloHearts created the kiloHearts Toolbox ULTIMATE which gives you everything they have ever released so you can get as creative as you like.

By using the RG onboard sequencer it is possible to create classic Rhythm Guitar grooves, but beyond that you can use the synthesizer features and effects to make fresh new edgy guitar grooves. To play the grooves RG is using a keyboard layout of "major chords" and "minor chords", each with two sequence patterns (A or B) option.

It is only a matter of hitting a single note in the major keyboard range or minor keyboard range and the groove plays. The sound sets are clean sampled guitars, which gives you great freedom and flexibility when using the synthesizer features and effects of RG. Additionally, there are also the Power Chord, Distorted sound and Muted guitar sound banks which both have no major or minor range, but can still sequence A and B.

HoRNet SongKey MK3 is the all-new third version of our key finder plugin, but it doesn't do simple key recognition, it's also capable of detecting the chord being played and the song tempo. We thought it was a good idea to also add MIDI input (to be able to detect chords and key of midi tracks) and MIDI output for the recognized chords so you can record them and edit the track for your own needs.

At the core of SongKey we find the "chromagram” (a level representation of the intensity of each note playing in the song) but we spent a lot of time creating a more reliable and cleaner chromagram than the one of the previous version.

Its GUI (graphical user interface) has received a makeover for more comfortable control of

all features. SubBoomBass-2 still has its analog-modeled waveforms on board, but the sound

color has been expanded with new spectrum waveforms, new creative 'think out of the

box' high-quality samples, and introducing Karplus-Strong string synthesis!

You will understand that these new features generate fresh and unheard-of sounds!

But there is more… An X/Y screen, a new pattern mode for running 4 sequences, and

just like in Predator-2 it has the easy to use Bank Manager with star feature, so that

you can quickly find and go to your favorite sounds straight away.

Now, by adding even more drum synthesis models, and introducing a totally new main screen which allows you to quickly create new drum kits, Punch-2 continues its legacy to be a cutting edge drum machine... but with lots of extra added punch!

Things do not stop there though, the interface and the synthesis sound options have been expanded greatly! Punch-2 now allows you to import your own REX files and samples to turn into your own loops. You can map out REX files or sample slices to individual pads and combine these creatively with the sounds & pattern sequencer found inside Punch-2! Further editing of REX files or Sliced pads is also possible, using filters, envelopes...routing into one of the 4 FX modules. And yes, you can even use granular synthesis on the REX and Slice pads!

Echoes T7E is a faithful recreation of the iconic *Binson® Echorec® T7E vintage tube magnetic echo made in Italy in the early '60s. This echo effect unit is based on a magnetic spinning drum with both record and playback heads arranged around a recording wire wound around the drum circumference. This solution provides better stability over the usual tape transport with reduced wow and flutter.

 

RAW-Kick offers three individual layers to design and build up your Kick drum sound, which is a common method often used by producers. But now, instead of using three separate products, you can use this method within one product. Each layer offers two modes. You can select a dedicated kick synthesizer model or use a sample-based layer.

Deleight is a stereo multi tap delay processor based on late '90s digital delays hardware processors.

Deleight can deliver multiple delay-based effects, ranging from simple echoes to multi-voice choruses, flangers, doublers, early reverbs and more. Enable Loop mode to set Deleight as a looper device, with Speed and Reverse controls, to create special effects and textures.
