Another addition to our Simple Instruments’ family: Simple Whistle!
This library offers a unique set of features that are perfect for anyone who wants to create music with a light, simple, and serene sound. One of the most notable features of Simple Whistle is the ability to control the volume of each of the three different whistlers independently. This allows you to create a solo whistler, a duo, or a trio.
Additionally, Simple Whistle offers three different instruments: Normal (MW Dyn), Vibrato (MW Dyn), and Vibrato Control (MW Vibrato).
The library also includes five articulations, including Legato, Portamento, Sustain, Staccato, and Short Staccato, allowing you to create a wide range of sounds for your music.
The tonal and noise sliders let you adjust the volume of the tonal part and the noise part of any whistle separately, providing you with more control over the sound of the instrument.
Finally, Simple Whistle’s stereo width feature lets you open up the stereo panorama.

Whistle is a physical modeling synthesizer with a banded waveguide as a resonator, disturbed with a granulated noise exciter source.
Banded waveguide synthesis is a physical modeling synthesis method that can be used to model elastic solids, like a vibraphone or a marimba. The synthesis method propagates exciter disturbances across tuned frequency bands. In whistle the amplitude and the partials of these frequency bands can be dialed in and automated.
The exciter of whistle uses a granular engine to process the noise source. This design creates a uniquely unpredictable texture, with any tonal elements in the exciter source interacting with the resonator to create random harmonic content.

Ji Min Oh is one of those singers who has made an instrument out of her voice: from the softest, most delicate nuances to the clearest fortissimo, her timbre is clean, precise, powerful, and yet expressive and moving. Therefore, after the session – when we sampled her for Spaghetti Western – we thought to extend the sampling with a unique legato articulation with syllables and quasi-words to make the most out of her remarkable lyrical voice.
Compared with the Opera Singer made for Spaghetti Western, Simple Opera Singer features one more microphone position and a special articulation called "words legato”, which triggers random syllables to make the line "singing” (…a kind of Italian / German grammelot, although the lyrics are meaningless the results are impressive!)

Expanding the concepts we’ve introduced with Simple Jazz Bass, we decided to make a more deep-sampled instrument that covers every nuance of the instrument, sampled in a professional studio and with up to 5 different microphone positions.
The instrument features 4 articulations: Pizzicato, Pizzicato Vibrato, Legato and Glissando.
