The EDS06s is an electronic-style drum synth with six parallel independent synth engines in one device. You can use a single EDS06s for six separate drum hits, or make a single drum hit with six layers of sound, or anything in between.

With an array of per-channel effects and both internal and external modulation of every parameter, the EDS06s brings a powerful drum synth to your Reason rack. And because you're synthesizing your own percussion sounds from the ground up, your drum tracks can be completely unique.

This is a nasty bit of equipment that offers a deeper, more hands on approach to noise generating. We have taken the, oft neglected, tiny corner of the oscillator section and expanded it out. Giving you the ability to morph between levels of randomness in frequency and amplitude, as well the shape of the waves themselves. The result is a tone that begins ‘white’, but soon descends into some strange and wonderfull landscapes. It wont be long before you will be creating your own sounds with the HazeMate, but just to get you started we have also included a set of combinators that utilise the different paths this HazeMate can be used. Complex-1 is a modular synthesizer from Reason Studios, bringing the quirks, freedom and sonic depth of modular synthesis to your Reason Rack. Boasting a 4x oversampled synthesis engine, a freely routable signal and modulation path and a sound like nothing else, Complex-1 is a synth lover's dream machine.

The modules in Complex-1 bring a mix of modular synth ideologies to the Reason Rack. The Complex Oscillator, Low Pass Gates and Shaper modules, build on the works on Don Buchla (or West Coast style) and the regular Oscillator and ladder design Filter module, derive more from the Bob Moog school of synth design. Combine them anyway you like and craft your very own unique synth sounds.

Ever since the low pass gate was invented by Don Buchla for his 200 series instruments in the early 1970s, low pass gates have been heralded for their ability to add a lifelike and organic response to modular synth patches. They work by applying an envelope to a low pass filter with its 0-voltage cutoff frequency way below audible range, so when the envelope is down, the 'gate' is closed. As a note decays, its high frequencies die soonest – just like most acoustic sounds.
