The DRP2a mkII Dynamic Range Processor is an updated version of the DRP2a plugin offering two new controls, new presets, "mouse over" digital readouts of rotary control parameters and new automation lane data.
Version 2.3.0 now includes automatic scaling for high resolution video monitors and custom GUI resizing via corner drag.
The DRP2a mkII plugin is an emulation of the hardware unit manufactured by Rocksonics in the mid 1990's - with many BONUS features only available in the plugin. The DRP2a is a "Swiss Army Knife" of dynamics processors capable of a multitude of functions - all within one little plugin interface including:
dynamics compression.
dynamics expansion.
soft noise gating.
limiting.
oversampled soft clipping.
de-essing.
ducking.
pumping and MORE.
The DRP2a uses multiple layers of program-dependent RMS level detectors for smooth, low distortion "musical" results while being very simple to set up and operate. A single Threshold control sets the point at which compression and gating occur making it extremely fast to set up on guitars, vocals, bass, etc.
The DRP2a plugin offers the same time constants and controls as the original hardware unit including Ratio - which ranges from 10:1 compression to 1:1.9 expansion - Threshold, Makeup Gain and Release speed. An Expander Gate control allows the selection of two different downward expansion ratios for the soft expander noise gate.
The plugin offers additional features not found in the original hardware unit including:
Internal/External Side Chain input with variable high pass filter.
Switchable Look Ahead.
Variable De-Essing emphasis control for the side chain.
Oversampled output Clipper/Limiter with variable threshold.
Wet/Dry Mix control.
User-resizable GUI with automatic scaling for high DPI monitors.
The DRP2a automatically switches code for mono or stereo tracks to minimize CPU load making it an ideal compressor/gate and dynamic FX processor for mixing.
The DRP2a is a 64-bit plugin available as VST2, VST3 and AAX for PC and VST2, VST3, AU and AAX formats formats for Mac OS 10.11-11.x(Intel, M1 w/Rosetta). A free demo can be downloaded from the RJ Studios website.

SideMinder ME2 (Mastering Edition) is the 2nd generation multi-band "big brother" to the SideMinder Dynamic Stereo Width Maximizer. SideMinder ME2 can be used to increase (or decrease) the width of stereo mixes while remaining MONO COMPATIBLE via automatic stereo correlation limiting. SideMinder ME2 controls the stereo width dynamically to keep the signal wide at all times imparting an almost "3D" quality to the sound. SideMinder ME2 is not a compressor and will not alter the dynamics of the mix, only the stereo width. SideMinder ME2 does not add ambience effects to the sound but, rather, brings out the stereo information that already exists in the mix (i.e., SideMinder ME2 will not generate a stereo signal from a mono source).

The MB3X Multi-Band Mastering Compressor is a plugin emulation of the hardware unit manufactured by Rocksonics Professional Audio in the mid 1990's - with BONUS features only available in the plugin.
The MB3X is a mastering grade compressor/limiter with extremely low distortion and utmost musicality. The MB3X uses multiple layers of program-dependent RMS level detectors for smooth, low distortion "musical" results while being very simple to set up and operate. The compressor has three fixed bands of compression separated by unique, constant amplitude Bessel crossovers that produce minimal phase distortion and NO pre-ringing. A single Threshold control sets the nominal compression threshold point that can be individually trimmed for each band via unique "tilting" trim controls making it extremely fast to set up.
