HoRNet Tape is a simulation of the effect that magnetic tape apply to the signal recorded on it. Tape was the recording medium of choice before digital took its place in the early 90s and has s distinct effect that helped to define the sound of the music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

What Tape does is to apply the distinct saturation of tape to your tracks and also adds the specific frequency response of four different popular tape machines, each at two different speed, 15 or 30 inch per second.

Tape saturation acts differently on high and low frequency, saturating much faster at high frequencies and giving drums and vocals that peculiar "shhh” sound, low frequencies are made thicker and gain weight, this combined with the non-linear frequency response of tape decks creates the classic vintage sound.

What is OCS-45?

OCS-45 Cassette Simulation by Oversampled. This plugin simulates real life cassette tapes. It's been designed to add lo-fi, vintage feel to your sound. It's rich set of controls allow you to tweak settings exactly the way you need to achieve that low fidelity sound. Predefined presets make it easy to find a perfect setting for your sound.

Nostalgic Saturation

Tape Cassette 2 is an audio plugin that emulates the warmth, noise and character of old tape cassettes. Following up from our well received Tape Cassette 1, we've updated the plugin with a sleek interface and more changes under the hood too.

Along with a brand new selectable Type 1 Cassette Impulse Response (IR), we've improved the saturation algorithm, wow & flutter engine and implemented real sampled tape noise, all which results in a wonderfully warm and more accurate vintage sound. In addition to this you now have two VU meters to monitor your audio as well as selectable oversampling.
