La Vuelta means "the move" or "the play". With this pack, producer Erick Bardales dives into the modern, perreo side of reggaeton, combining Dembow rhythms with moody, R&B-infused harmonies. His melodies are inspired by Tainy and Sky Rompiendo, with a twist of old reggaeton drums by DJ Blass y DJ Nelson.

Erick crafted these drums by tweaking old DMX drum machine samples through UAD Oxide Tape, Oxford Inflator, and McDSP plugins using virtual instruments to create the textural melodies. Then he ran various elements through Output Thermal and Black Box to create rich, saturated atmospheres.

Helado is the Spanish word for ice cream, the perfect cool-down treat for hot summer days that dissolve into crisper nights. Producer Erick Bardales channeled that energy into Splice Originals: Helado - Caribbean Rhythm. Recorded in the Splice room of Sound Factory LA, this pack explores the darker, moodier edges of Caribbean music while maintaining the energetic integrity of dancehall and Afrobeat rhythms.

For Splice Originals: El Paisa - Tropical Reggaeton, Honduran producer Erick Bardales and LA-based musician Ben Kahn were inspired by the reggaeton pop sound that’s been taking over the airwaves since the release of "Despacito”. They pulled from South American and Central American influences with a strong focus on Colombian music.

Conjuring the warmth of the sun and the salt of the sea, this release wants you to imagine island hopping in the Caribbean. To listen to each sound is to experience a different aspect of Caribbean culture. All about a good time, it draws influences from dancehall, reggae, Afro-Cuban, soca, exotica, Hawaiian music, calypso, Afrobeat, and reggaeton.
