Splice Originals: La Isla transports you to the tropical location of your dreams, ushering in warmth, sun, and a good mood. For this pack Erick Bardales was inspired by Reggaeton and Afrobeat melodies and percussion with hints of salsa and merengue influences.

Dan Foster, a frequent collaborator and musician for Masego, played all of the horn parts and some of the melodies at EQT Studios in downtown Los Angeles. Foster is also a pianist and producer and has worked with other artists such as Kehlani, Phabo, Destin Conrad, and more.

Other gear used to make this pack included the Mellotron MD4000 Mini, Arturia V Collection 9, Etude Sax, handmade percussion, The Prince by Frank Dukes, Thermal by Output, Ozone 8 by Izotope Valhalla Vintage and Room Reverb, and more.

La Vuelta means "the move" or "the play". With this pack, producer Erick Bardales dives into the modern, perreo side of reggaeton, combining Dembow rhythms with moody, R&B-infused harmonies. His melodies are inspired by Tainy and Sky Rompiendo, with a twist of old reggaeton drums by DJ Blass y DJ Nelson.

Erick crafted these drums by tweaking old DMX drum machine samples through UAD Oxide Tape, Oxford Inflator, and McDSP plugins using virtual instruments to create the textural melodies. Then he ran various elements through Output Thermal and Black Box to create rich, saturated atmospheres.
