We proudly present our latest release "Azerbaijani Saz” containing professionally played and recorded melodies ready to drop in your production and take your experience to the new dimension!

The Azerbaijani saz is long necked lute and mainly used by Ashiqs. The art of Azerbaijani Ashiqs combines poetry, storytelling, dance and vocal and instrumental music into a traditional performance art. The Azerbaijani saz, generally measures about 110 cm, although there are also other types being played measuring between 70 and 130 cm. The carvel-built bowl is mostly made of mulberry, covered with a soundboard fitted with a pattern of about twenty small sound-holes, and an attached thick neck made of walnut. 

Sometimes the neck is made hollow and covered with a fretboard. The nine strings of the Azerbaijani saz are grouped in 3 triple courses of steel strings of which the middle course often consists of 2 strings. High-tone and accompaniment strings have a permanent tune, while the tune of bass strings changes according to mode-harmony of composition. In detail expect to find 526MB of raw content featuring 90 beautifully played "Azerbaijani Saz” loops at 90/110/130bpm and includes a dry version (w/o any additional e.q, compressor or reverb effects) and wet version of each, giving a total of 180 files. All loops are Key and tempo labeled for ease of use. All sounds are ready to fit straight in your tracks.

'Azerbaijani Tar' by Earthtone contains professionally played and recorded melodies ready to allow you to discover the unique sounds of Tar.

The Tar is a Turkish folk instrument played with a plectrum which is also commonly used in Azerbaijan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Georgia.

Its body is composed of two bowls of different size and is generally made from mulberry trees. The gögüs section is covered with a membrane taken from the heart of water buffaloes or cattle. Sap section is from hard wood and fish line pitches are tied onto it. There are two main groups of strings on tar. Those in the first group are used in playing the tune and consists of three groups of two strings. The other group of strings are called Kök and Zengi, and are tuned according to the mode to be used and enhance the tone.

"Cura” is a stringed Turkish folk instrument and most commonly played in Anatolia. The smallest member of the baglama family with the highest pitched sound. It has only three strings, small body and short finger board. Cura has a traditional playing technique with fingernails so don't need to use plectrum while performing.
