The clarinet is a family of woodwind instruments and it has a single-reed mouthpiece, a straight, cylindrical tube with an almost cylindrical bore, and a flared bell. The clarinet is used widely in the music of the Balkans and the performances on the library reflect this.
The Balkan musical tradition is an aural one, and players of the region would embellish the melodies with much ornamentation and the clarinet is often a key instrument in keeping with folk music traditions, and the accordion, drum, bass and electric guitar are also widely used. The Azerbaijani saz is long necked lute and mainly used by Ashiqs. The art of Azerbaijani Ashiqs combines poetry, storytelling, dance and vocal and instrumental music into a traditional performance art. The Azerbaijani saz, generally measures about 110 cm, although there are also other types being played measuring between 70 and 130 cm. The carvel-built bowl is mostly made of mulberry, covered with a soundboard fitted with a pattern of about twenty small sound-holes, and an attached thick neck made of walnut.

'Turkish Divan Saz' by Earthone presents a collection of traditional divan saz melodies that have been professionally played, recorded and packed to ensure that you will never miss any little detail in your project.
The 'Divan Saz' is the largest of the baglama family. It is also called the Meydan saz and the name is believed to be related to the fact that in meetings of Asiks, they would challenge each other. It has a metre-long neck and eight strings and is most commonly played in Anatolia. They are used both for Folk music and for modern popular music.

Sazbush as a instrument, was a big success in the traditional Turkish parties of the 40s. For the Gypsy musicians who played in huge weddings, it was perfect as the oud and the Saz always disappears in big spaces, especially when played with loud instruments such as trumpets drums and such. For them, the Cumbus Saz was just the perfect solution.
